DialogDevil is five desktop/server automation tools in one, all sharing the same interface. You drag a small icon from DialogDevil to another program to automate auto-click, auto-position, auto-minimize, auto-maximize, or auto-close.
Pros: All the functionality in the application share the same interface. This is a simple drag and drop in the training mode. Simply drag the function icon on to the specific program window and the linking is done. For example if it is the intention of the user to auto click a specific button on a warning message from an windows application, simply dragging auto click icon onto that specific button does the job. From then on anytime that specific warning/message appears, it’ll get automatically clicked. Saves a lot of message clutter on the screen and saves time for the user increasing his productivity.
Another productivity tool is the ability to size specific windows and make them open at specific areas of the screen. Rather than clicking though minimizing a number of windows to get to the right one, it may be made available directly at the top in a specific area of the screen. Beside the auto click and the auto position, auto minimize, auto maximize and auto close functions are available through the dialog devil.
Rather than any of the warnings or messages holding up the work of servers in the organization, dialog devil running on them can take care of proper inputs and thereby help servers run without blocking.
For the Windows Vista dialog devil has an additional functionality, that of user account controls or UAC management. System keeps coming up with security warning and these could be a nag at times. The dialog devil can be trained to take care of these.
Cons: While these auto controls can be removed from the list inside the dialog devil, one may forget what’ll has been automated and can lead to quite a bit of confusion when something goes wrong and one does not get the appropriate message. UAC being about security issues, it may be even more tricky to be playing with.
